The story revolves around Emily , a person with schizophrenia who thinks something unthinkable is happening in her house. On this, director Lee Eung-bok said that " know some of the viewers were anticipating more gore, but hope they will understand why monsters were absent from some parts of our drama." After an unexpected family tragedy, Cha Hyun-soo leaves his home and moves into an apartment. People inside the apartment are trapped inside the building, realizing that monsters are lurking everywhere outside. Hyun-su and other residents shield themselves inside the building in the hope of surviving as long as they can.
Leaving the building, Seo Yi-kyung heads to her fiancé's office in search of answers. Critical information about the monsters is made public. When residents are split on what to do with Hyun-su, Lee Eun-hyeok suggests they hold a vote.

When they start filming at his old home, they come under attack from the ghost of the painter's wife. 30 years ago, she lost her son in an accident which also left her severely disfigured. In attempts to do so, she kidnapped and killed toddlers by burning them in the incinerator. When caught red-handed by local villagers, who immediately pursue her, she commits suicide by throwing herself into the very furnace her son died in and met the same end as her victims.

By the end of its run in the United States, Sweet Home Alabama grossed over US$130 million, and another US$53,399,006 internationally. With a reported budget of US$30 million, it was a box office hit, despite the mixed reviews.

When you have kids, date nights as parents become quite difficult to do based on a few different factors. For some parents they have young children and don’t have trusted people around them to help with babysitting. For other parents, like TikTok content creator @rachelnorstrom and her husband, they have a chronically ill daughter and as a result, they don’t get to experience date night often.

Melanie reconciles with her friends and learns that after she split with Jake, he had followed her to New York to win her back. So she finds out he has arrived to head up a new Christian ministry and decides to do something completely out of character, she volunteers to help out.
Emily takes the prescribed drugs to help her stop seeing all of these awful things. But, instead, Emily starts seeing more unusual activity. Similarly, Jonathan Wilson from Ready Steady Cut said that "Sweet Home gets off to a racing start and never really lets up, leading to a frantic, messy, but ultimately enjoyable binge-watch." Pierce Conran of South China Morning Post gave a rating of 3/5, saying that "despite a breathless opening episode and some grisly fun throughout, Sweet Home does not provide much of a story for viewers to get hooked on."

During an open house, Max Mercer and his mother Carol stop by to use the restroom. Max has a brief exchange with Jeff, during which the latter reveals a box of old dolls, including a malformed one with an upside down face. Carol explains to Jeff that dolls with unusual deformities are rare and worth a lot of money, with an estimated $200,000. As Max and Carol return home, the whole family is preparing to leave for Tokyo, Japan, for the holidays, with Carol leaving earlier than the rest.
